The Roach Remover Inc. pest control company has moved beyond chemical spraying in the war against pests with the development of its exclusive double-bait cockroach extermination system.

The double-bait system uses two proven products -- our own Roach Die-it in plastic containers and Maxforce Gel which is applied with an injection gun. Results are excellent because one bait can be placed where the other cannot. This system has several advantages:

1. Roach Remover enables the management of multiple unit buildings to secure a much higher level of co-operation from residents. No preparation is necessary with Roach Die-it; kitchen cupboards do not have to be emptied, furniture need not be moved, draperies and curtains are not tied back. The higher level of co-operation produced by this no-hassle approach renders the extermination much more effective because cockroaches won't quickly spread throughout the building again from untreated units.
2. The bait does not aggravate allergies or respiratory problems.
3. Our bait continues killing cockroaches long after the residual effect of chemical spray has dissipated. Chemical spraying kills existing cockroaches, but new cockroaches can hatch from eggs weeks later. Normal domestic wiping and cleaning often removes the residual chemical spray protection by the time the new generation of cockroaches appears, but Roach Die-it disrupts the reproduction cycle by killing second generation roaches before they mature.

The Roach Remover system works because residents are more willing to report problems and to co-operate in preventative block treatments. Is Roach Remover's double-bait system as good as spray?

It's better!
Here's why.

1. Chemical spray has an effective life of one or two days, seldom longer despite exaggerated claims for some products. It kills the insects that it touches or that walk on it while it is still active. However, it does not penetrate many cracks and crevices where roaches can hide until it is safe for them to emerge.
   
   The Maxforce gel bait remains active for eight to 10 days. It has a strong attractant that enables it to achieve an extremely high kill rate. Our exclusive Roach Die-it bait remains effective for up to six weeks, sometimes longer depending upon temperature and humidity conditions. It backs up the Gel by continuing to destroy roaches as they hatch from eggs days and weeks after treatment.
   
   Our insecticidal powder, placed behind refrigerators and stoves, remains effective indefinitely as long as it remains dry. Each dust particle has diamond sharp edges which scratch the roaches' outer casings as they walk over it, causing them to die of dehydration.
2. Spray repels roaches, sending them into deep hiding places and often to neighboring apartments which increases the problem.Roach Remover's double-bait system attracts and kills the pests. We do not export the problem to other apartments.
3. Residents do not have to take everything from their kitchen cabinets, remove pets, and stay out of their homes for hours with Roach Remover's double-bait system. That's why our total building cleanouts are so successful -- we can treat all the apartments because residents are not reluctant to co-operate. Cockroaches won't spread through the building again from untreated apartments. That's why our block treatments work too. Nothing is more frustrating than a block treatment when somebody refuses to co-operate. Residents have no reason not to co-operate with our double-bait system. All they have to do is let us in the door.
4. Spray can aggravate respiratory problems and can trigger allergic reactions. Our bait won't.
5. Cockroaches can develop an immunity to spray. That's much less likely with bait, particular with our double-bait system using two quite different products.

Does all this mean that Roach Remover is so dedicated to bait that it won't use spray?
Not at all.

We do the best spray in town. We use the very best chemicals and our technicians are trained to treat all the places that sometimes are overlooked. They also spend enough time to do a thorough job instead of rushing as sometimes happens. But we prefer to spray only when there's a good reason for it. One instance would be an extremely infested apartment where spray would kill large numbers of roaches very quickly. Another instance would be a very dirty apartment, with lots of grease and food stuff immediately available to roaches. The effectiveness of bait is reduced in these circumstances because the roaches just have too much choice when they get hungry. A combination of bait and spray is effective in common element areas.
