General Pest Control Measures You Can Adopt

The guidelines given below are common sense based. While practice may initially seem difficult, once these measures become a lifestyle habit or a regular process, the results are huge savings in remedial pest control measures.

At Roach Remover we recommend taking these precautions at all times:

• Seal all cracks no matter how small.
• Install screens and weather-stripping on all doors and windows. Use reinforced steel wire mesh with no more than 0.5 cm opening. When there is no occupancy, cover these.
• Keep all food covered. Keep food items sealed when storing. Wipe containers before putting them away.
• Fix all leaks. Do not let water collect for more than a day. Throw away damp rags and any wet or damp material. Post-use, squeeze rags completely dry and keep covered.
• Keep garbage bins tightly covered and empty trash regularly. Ensure common garbage areas are cleaned regularly and treated for general pest control as often as every two days.
• Vacuum thoroughly and regularly. For commercial premises, vacuuming daily is required.
• Air premises. When this is not possible, ensure air-conditioning is set at a level that does not lead to dampness within the premises.
